3:00 p.m. - Time To Pray

Acts 3:1 -
"One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer—at three in the afternoon."

What might happen if Christians everywhere took a few moments in the 3:00 hour to pray every day?

Acts 4:31, maybe?
"After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly."

In this instance, it seems, one thing just led to another ....

If I set my iPhone's calendar alarm or my watch to remind me, and commit to doing this ... would you join me?

Wherever you are?

Whatever time zone you're in?

Whether you're ready for what might happen or not?

Keith is this the prayer you are going to pray?
Act 4:24 And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou [art] God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:
Act 4:25 Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?
Act 4:26 The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.
Act 4:27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,
Act 4:28 For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.
Act 4:29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,
Act 4:30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

And are those who join you going to be expected, to sell all they have and lay the proceeds at your feet.?

Ha! No, I'm not taking up any collections, Laymond. (Nor do I particularly want to be arrested!) But it just might be much more powerful to pray in faith as these disciples prayed - as Jesus prayed - for God's will to be done through those praying.

are you Central time?

Yup, I'm in Central. But you'd have to pray at 3:00 in your own time zone, or it wouldn't be scriptural.

*snort* : )
